Macbeth - Battlefield
This piece opened August 2007’s production of Macbeth inside Liverpool Cathedral. It opens with the same chord sequence used in throughout the trailer (intended as a “witch’s influence” theme). The music then breaks into a more up tempo section which features the ‘battle theme’ for the first time (sung here by sopranos, with the words ‘fabula de lacrima’).
